Filing Fee

The U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims (USCAVC) requires a $50 filing fee for filing a Notice of Appeal or a petition for extraordinary relief.

A Declaration of Financial Hardship can be filed in lieu of the filing fee. Do NOT submit both a declaration and a filing fee.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit (Federal Circuit) requires a $600 filing fee for filing a notice of appeal from a decision of the USCAVC. Please visit the Federal Circuit's website for the Motion and Declaration for Leave to Proceed in Forma Pauperis form.

The USCAVC requires a $400 filing fee for Requests for Class Certification and Class Action (RCA). A Declaration of Financial Hardship can be filed in lieu of the filing fee.

Click the link below to pay the filing fee electronically at pay.gov. The correct USCAVC case number is required. The Court will send your USCAVC case number after the Court receives your Notice of Appeal or petition, so do not attempt to pay the filing fee until after you have received your case number.
