Mission
The library primarily exists to provide information services to judges and staff. This involves researching legal concepts, managing resources, and helping locate outside materials. In addition, the library attempts to preserve CAVC history by employing archival and records management principles. Beyond a focus on serving the CAVC, the library is also available to help the legal community and general public.

Access
The library is located on the second floor of the CAVC at 625 Indiana Ave., NW, in Washington, D.C. In addition to housing resources, it serves as a meeting place and small venue for Court events. Access is open to the general public, although visitors must make an appointment to ensure that staff will be present during their visit. This is best done by contacting the librarian via email or phone. Appointments may be scheduled for Monday through Thursday between the hours of 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM. Visitors will be subject to regular security protocols.

Library Resources
The library maintains a print collection and subscribes to digital resources. Access to some of these subscriptions are available to visitors on-site. Print resources may also be used on-site but may not be taken outside of the building. Those with research questions may contact the librarian for assistance.
